ABOUT ME

Dr. Beatriz Matos-Zapata

Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology

I am happy to welcome you to my new website. I have worked as a doctor in clinical psychology, licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, for the past 23 years. I have extensive experience working in multiple settings, both in the public and private sectors, with young people, adults, couples, families, and groups. I provide my services through telepsychology (by appointment, from 10 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week, including holidays), consultations, and workshops.

Human beings are like trees
We are in constant growth and change

These changes can be extremely challenging and create a sense of loss of balance and stability. Each person responds to life events differently. The ways we respond are meant to protect and take care of ourselves. However, what once worked may no longer be effective. Seeking psychological support to face changes or adjustments is a way to protect and care for ourselves. By taking from experiences what nourishes us and letting go of what does not, we can move toward our well-being.

My Mission: My commitment, from an integrative perspective, is to offer psychological health and human development services that adapt to individuals’ needs, helping them face life changes or events in a healthy way. My services focus on prevention, support, guidance, and therapy for young people, adults, couples, families, and groups.
